Business Development Manager - Commercial Fitouts - Melbourne

Affordable Fitouts is a leader in the commercial fitout industry nationally. We are looking for someone to join our team in the role of Business Development Manager.

You will be responsible for sourcing new projects within Melbourne and nationally, using your vast range of contacts within the industry and using your proactive approach to finding new business opportunities.

The Role

You will need to have a well-established network of clients and leads, this is not a role for someone cold calling potential contacts. Contacts in areas of medical, retail, commercial, hospitality, offices and other areas that require fitouts. 

The role would include, but would not be limited to:

  • Identifying market segments within the commercial fitout realm
  • Use sectors in which the business can grow and operate
  • Bring your contacts to our business and support them throughout the process
  • Manage existing client relationships
  • Attend industry-specific events
  • Promote the business within existing networks while continuing to expand network
  • Report regularly while maintaining open communication with management within the business
  • Selling and promoting the features and benefits of the full range of fitout products
  • Preparing specifications to assist with quotations and tenders
  • Developing new business opportunities through your own proven methods
  • Liaising with our architects and designers
  • Advising and making recommendations to clients on products, design, cost-saving ideas 
  • Must be able to work autonomously 

 

Selection Criteria

Min of 5-10 years sales experiences in the commercial fitout industry, preferably selling to medical, retail, hospitality, commercial, industrial and other related markets. You will need to be highly motivated, results orientated with excellent communication, interpersonal & presentation skills.

Candidates must have an existing network of leads and contacts within the industry including but not limited to architects, interior designers, RDM, centre managers, commercial leasing agents as well as knowledge of the building industry.
