A relatively new privately owned construction business based in Central Sydney have already secured and delivered a number of impressive projects in the Education and Medical sectors and are now ready to expand their portfolio into the Retail, Aged Care and Commercial Fit Out sectors.
As such they now require the services of a New Business / Business Development Manager that can manage and explore new opportunities within existing clients but also bring their own network of clients to the business safe in the knowledge that the current multi-disciplined delivery teams have an excellent track record in closing out projects on time and within budget.
This senior role in their business will be mainly responsible for fostering strong relationships to generate a pipeline of business opportunities resulting in commercially successful projects.
Key responsibilities for this role are:
Identification of new business opportunities and participation in the development and implementation of new growth strategies.
Development of strategic relationships with existing & new clients.
Researching target markets advising business accordingly of risk and opportunity.
Provide marketing direction and support in capturing genuine opportunities.
Coordination of the bid or tender process and providing strategic guidance in structuring the proposed solution.
Engineering/Construction Degree and / or 10 years BDM experience in a Tier 2 or Tier 3 building business based in Sydney.
Superior presentation and communication skills with established relationships with Senior Executives of PM, QS and other related consultancy's.
Excellent business development and marketing skills.
Demonstrated background in strategic planning and submission preparation.
Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
